1. I dog-ear my pages.

2. I always have to mark out the exact center of the book….sometimes when my OCD is super kicked-up, that will also devolve into quarters and thirds.

3. Whenever I stop reading, I have to stop at the end of a chapter or at the end of a page/paragraph. Extra points if I end on a page number that ends in five or zero.

4. If someone gives me a book to read and says that they love it and I try to read that book and don’t like it, I will say I finished it and liked it.

5. Whenever I’m reading a hardcover, I take off the book jacket.

6. I sometimes underline or highlight good passages in my books.

7. I don’t utilize the library anywhere near as much as I should.

8. I often read several books at once.

9. When I was a kid and I’d get upset or mad, I’d always read to distract myself and make myself feel better. Still works. I got in the habit of reading every night before bed after my last break-up because that was the only way I could sleep.

10. I hoard bookmarks and things that can be used as bookmarks.

I love finding strange things people have used as bookmarks in library books – I’ve found a family snap, an old theatre ticket, and a paint sample for ‘Lusty Red’.

    1 (unless I’m borrowing a book, of course :p ) 5, 7.
If I’m eating alone, I’ll usually be reading something. My parents used to be able to tell when my book was really good because I wouldn’t stop reading to drink out of my glass – I’d just lift the book up so I could keep reading it around the glass as I drank.

Sorry I haven’t been around much lately, but my book, The Bellman Chronicles, will be FREE to download on Sept. 10 – 11! Check it out on my Amazon Kindle page.. You won’t be disappointed. And if you can slip me a review, I’d be forever grateful…

Sadly, I not a huge reader… But I shall still comment, Lol

I have definitely done #1… #2 sounds very familiar to me, I may have done that without thinking about it… #3 I do like to end at the end of a Chapter if I can help it. #4 hate confrontation? or do you like to please people? or don’t want to hurt people’s feelings? #5 I also take off the jacket when I read hardcovers… #6 I think if I read more, I might do that. #7 Libraries are awesome, if I read more, I would use them more, as opposed to getting books on kindle or something… I don’t like reading books from a computer screen, prefer a physical book. #8 not me, Lol #9 for me after my breakup last year, I would stay online until midnight, and then sleep on the couch in the living room, because it feels more like someone’s laying next to you than a queen bed, Lol #10 that sounds cool, I love collecting things, so if I was more of a reader, I might do that.

    Cool List

I honestly don’t have an answer to five. It’s not like the world would end if I told them I didn’t like it, but I just…don’t.

Eh, maybe yer just super polite, or super sensitive

Maybe polite, but not sensitive. I don’t mind confronting people or having a healthy difference of opinion.

Have you ever been on a debate team?

      4. Shannon Avatar

No. I kind of developed these skills late in life…when the ship of opportunity for debate team had long sailed.

Ah, gotcha… I was shy all the way through school… What helped me break out of it a bit was doing some Theater for a few year, from like 17 to 20… Loved it… And it help me with my social skills. Then when I was like 23, I got into inside medical sales, and did that for like 6 1/2 years, so that also helped

But I’m still shy, Lol… I just like people, so I’m pretty friendly towards them as a rule. But I spend most of my time by myself, which is fine. Though I do wish I could see more of my family right now… I do see my mom, and one of my sisters some… But I miss my brother, he lives up in Sonoma.
